Tear Trough

Is your appearance looking more tired and dull by the day due to a sunken, hollow eye area? This is known as tear troughs, and it’s caused by a loss of volume between the eye area and upper cheek. It’s a completely natural part of ageing that results from a gradual decline in age-defying proteins. But the good news is you can add fullness to your face thanks our tear trough filler treatments that are effective, gentle and get the job done without needing any downtime.

What is Tear Trough filler?

At Cardiff Cosmetic Clinic, our team of aesthetic experts offer many cutting-edge non-invasive treatments to naturally plump up the skin and reduce the appearance of tear troughs. These treatments include Morpheus8, NeoGen PSR, Plexr, dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections. Although these are different types of modalities, they all stimulate the production of natural age-defying proteins, collagen and elastin, to restore volume, tighten sagging skin, and diminish under eye bags, and dark circles and dark hollows.

How does Tear Trough treatment work?

Here’s a snapshot of our range of treatments and how each one aims to reduce the appearance of tear troughs. We have two types of tear trough fillers (dermal filler injections), Teosyal and Ellanse. The former contains the active ingredient hyaluronic acid for deep skin hydration and the latter contains collagen-stimulating Polycaprolactone. Morpheus8, on the other hand, is a device that combines the power of radiofrequency technology with microneedling. It stimulates the production of collagen and elastin through heat energy and kick-starts the natural healing process by breaking the top layer of the skin. Finally, there’s plasma-powered NeoGen PSR and Plexr. Although these are two different types of treatments, they both use innovative plasma energy to heat and renew the skin, plumping it from deep within.

What are the benefits of Tear Trough treatments?

Getting fuller, plumper, fresher, and more healthy skin has never been easier with our premium range of non-surgical treatments for tear troughs. It’s a major leap forward for facial aesthetics, which not too long ago relied solely on blepharoplasty surgery to improve these skin imperfections. Now you have a choice of tear trough fillers, microneedling and radiofrequency technology, and innovative plasma energy. The end result, no matter your choice, is eye troughs that are plumped out, diminished dark circles and under eye bags, and tighter skin around the eye area.
