- What happens at the appointment?
Our expert medical doctor and the clinic’s founder, Dr. Raj, will ensure your Profhilo treatment is comfortable by applying numbing cream to your treatment areas. These are first marked and then numbed, followed by the gentle injecting of Profhilo to these key areas. Treatment can be used on the face and body, but the former is most common. For face treatments, Dr. Raj will inject 5 points on either side of the face (10 in total) to ensure the solution is evenly distributed.
- Is downtime required after the treatment ?
Good news! There is no downtime needed, plus it’s a highly tolerable treatment, so you shouldn’t feel any discomfort during or after your appointment. However, it’s completely normal to notice some swelling at the injection points after the treatment, followed by minimal bruising. Rest assured, these subside quickly, usually within a few days. Any bruises that may arise can easily be concealed with makeup.
- How many treatments do I need?
You will need 2 treatments 4 weeks apart for the full effect of the treatment. For skin that’s particularly lax, we recommend a third treatment.
- How quickly will I see results ?
You will notice results from one week with your skin looking brighter and smoother. However, patience is key as the optimum effects are visible one month after treatment. In the long term, from 3 to 6 months, you will notice your skin becoming tighter and lifted.
- How long does Profhilo last?
The effects of Profhilo last from 9 months to a year.
- Can it be combined with other treatments?
Although Profhilo is effective independently, it also performs incredibly well with many other natural anti-ageing treatments. In particular, fillers and anti-wrinkle injections are great complementary options as they achieve maximum skin rejuvenation results for a glowing complexion.

- Is there any aftercare following Profhilo treatments?
Like any other anti-wrinkle injectable, we recommend avoiding any vigorous exercise for 24 hours after treatment.
