What is PRP?
Platelet rich plasma is a medical procedure first used in the 1980s during an open heart surgery. Also known as the vampire facial, this treatment extracts samples of your blood and reinjects its proteins and nutrients into problem areas, such as ageing skin or scarring. Using the patient’s own plasma and proteins makes PRP a highly effective and safe procedure. With minimal downtime and long-term results, you can enjoy groundbreaking skin solutions.
How does PRP work?
PRP works by taking a sample of your own blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate the blood from the plasma. The platelet rich part is collected and injected back into the target areas. These platelets contain regenerative and healing molecules that stimulate the natural creation of collagen and elastin in the dermis. This process naturally and safely heals damaged cells and inhibits the ageing process. The use of a mesotherapy gun delivers small amounts of PRP into the skin quickly and efficiently, with the remainder of the plasma then used for microneedling. When combined with microneedling, the vampire facial produces revolutionary skin regeneration results.
What are the benefits of PRP?
PRP skin treatments make facial aesthetics safe and natural. The production of collagen and elastin improves ageing skin by thickening and plumping the dermis; it effectively reduces wrinkles and skin laxity. PRP under the eye successfully thickens the sensitive skin in this region and evens out fine lines. It effectively heals stubborn scars from deep within for healthy and renewed skin. Plus, it can help with hair loss or thinning by organically stimulating hair growth.
